Happy New Year!
it was pretty noisy last night with all those partying so we slept in until 9:00am and could have slept longer. Even though it is only a 3 hour time change, it is hard to wake early – especially on vacation!
After our breakfast, we strolled along the Malecon which overlooks huge cliffs (barrancos) and the Pacific Ocean. The streets are quite busy with tourists and locals alike and the Pacific is busy with surfers hoping for that big wave.
We walked about 3 km until we reached Larcomar Mall, perched on the top of one of the barrancos and the stores, restaurants and coffee shop down from the street. Here we found a Juan Valdez coffee shop avoiding the Starbucks on the next level.
After relaxing with our coffee we decided that we would love more ceviche from Alfresco. So off we went and were greeted by the same waiter that served us yesterday – we are already regulars – ha ha. We ordered the Pisco Sours and a different ceviche, sole stew, and sea bass on roasted veggies with a tarragon sauce. Oh my, yesterday was scrumptious however today’s choices were even better. We were in heaven!
I discovered while I was in Majahual that cevice was also my go-to food of choice. Yours looks simply marvelous.
