Thursday to Sunday January 25 – 28, 2018
Four glorious days. No packing, no moving, just relaxing by the pool or the beach. The days passed lazily and we loved every minute of it.
An evening ‘happy hour’ trip to the local beach was in order on day 2 to watch the sun slowly sink and sizzle into the Pacific, a sight we never tire of.
Days consisted of shuttling to town for fruit, water, wine and other ‘essentials’, sun worshipping at the pool, and little else. Friday evening we invited our villa neighbours, Randy & MaryJo, over for a lively Happy (3) Hours.
Saturday Fero decided we should take one of the shuttles to a nearby beach. We chose Playa Hermosa, and it was exactly that, beautiful. The EcoResort keeps the beach and public area spotless and many surfer hopefuls come here to catch their first wave. The surf it isn’t too wild here so a perfect place to learn. Even the local domesticated animals love this beach!
By noon though, everyone was ‘hiding’ from the scorching mid-day sun. We were lucky enough to snag a shady table complete with hammocks and I read to my heart’s content. Back before sunset, and energy zapped from the sun and heat, we were sleeping by 8:30!
Sunday, our final day in SJDS was spent sleeping, reading and enjoying the pool. Randy and MaryJo returned the invite and had a Happy Hour goodby party for us!
By 7:00pm we are off for an early bedtime as 4:45am comes early. We are booked to catch our Shuttle to Tamarindo in Costa Rica.
