We are getting into a lovely routine. Coffee on the patio, and then a leisurely breakfast.
Today we have a collection of visitors having breakfast, a lady from BC and 6 from the US, four of whom live here in Nicaragua. One couple, Sue & Michael, live at the far end of the beach in Las Penitas from Oct – March each year. The other couple have lived here for the past 5 years and now live year round in Laguna Apoyo (midway between Masaya & Granada). This is the second time we have been told this area is fabulous, so may need to look into going there!
After a lively conversation and some tips for our next stop we disperse and Fero & I head to the beach. We don’t last too long as the sun is very intense and we don’t want to fry. Today we choose to get lunch from the little shack across the street, Mi Ranchita Rustica, which has been recommended to us several times. We were able to have take out and ate in the cool shade of our hotel. The food was simple but very good.
The balance of the day was pretty quiet including a siesta, relaxing by the pool and just chillaxing! My kind of vacation.
